Electrolux Group, a global leader in home appliances, is set to showcase its most groundbreaking innovations at IFA 2024 in Berlin, a premier trade show for consumer electronics and home appliances. Under its premium brand AEG, the company will unveil its most significant kitchen range launch to date, featuring advanced AI-assisted cooking technology and a striking new design.
Anna Ohlsson-Leijon, CEO Business Area Europe APMEA & Group Executive VP at Electrolux Group, expressed excitement about the launch: “Berlin, the birthplace of AEG, is the perfect venue for unveiling our most ambitious kitchen range yet. This launch comes at a time when consumers are seeking high-quality, personalized, and sustainable home cooking solutions. Our new AEG Kitchen Range meets these demands with cutting-edge technology and design.”
Revolutionising Home Cooking
The new AEG Kitchen Range represents a major advancement in home cooking technology. It encompasses a full suite of appliances, including ovens, hobs, hoods, refrigeration, and dishwashers, designed to enhance the culinary experience for home cooks. A standout feature of this range is AI TasteAssist, an innovative technology developed to assist users in optimising their cooking process. This feature allows users to send recipes directly to the oven, which then analyses key cooking parameters such as timing, temperature, and protein type to automatically set the ideal cooking conditions.
Furthermore, the range introduces the CookSmart Touch Display, an intuitive interface that provides comprehensive guidance throughout the cooking process. For the first time, CookSmart Touch integrates seamlessly across ovens, hobs, and built-in coffee machines. The Assisted Dishes function offers step-by-step instructions to ensure perfect results, including advice on accessories and necessary steps. The CookSmart Touch on hobs also allows users to easily manage cooking tasks such as boiling and pan-frying with a simple touch, and offers modes for sous-vide, simmering, and melting.
Design and Sustainability
AEG’s new Kitchen Range boasts a design that is both modern and understated. Available in Matt Black and Glossy Black, the range features distinctive metal handles, statement trims, and a refined graphic identity. This design not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also integrates seamlessly into a variety of kitchen styles.
The range is designed with sustainability in mind, surpassing previous models in resource efficiency without compromising performance. It can reduce a carbon footprint by up to 30% during the use phase, thanks to its high energy labels and energy-saving features. For example, the AEG 9000 ProAssist with SteamPro technology can save up to 17% in energy consumption through its PreHeat and Residual Heat functions.
Thomas Gardner, Design Lead Product Line Taste at AEG, commented on the development process: “We extensively consulted with consumers to understand their ideal cooking experiences and kitchen preferences. We studied trends in kitchen design and technology integration to create a range that not only meets but exceeds modern cooking demands.”
