Clayton-based domiciliary care provider, Care2Care (Yorkshire) Ltd, has launched a new division focused on delivering bespoke physical activity programmes within clients’ homes. This initiative aims to enhance the health and well-being of individuals who may struggle to access traditional exercise options.
Addressing Increasing Demand
The decision to establish this specialised division stems from growing demand, as more clients seek ways to improve their physical health while remaining at home. Phill Lautman, Chief Operating Officer of Care2Care, explains that the company recognised the importance of providing tailored physical activity support to meet the diverse needs of its clients.
“Earlier this year, we piloted individual physical activity programmes for some of our clients,” says Phill. “The goal was to offer additional support, leveraging the well-documented benefits of physical activity in addressing various health challenges. The positive response was immediate and overwhelming, highlighting just how crucial this type of provision can be.”
Impactful Client Feedback
The pilot programme yielded encouraging results, with clients reporting significant improvements in both their physical and mental well-being. These outcomes underscored the importance of expanding the service to meet the growing needs of the community.
“The initial feedback was incredibly positive, with clients noting a real difference in their day-to-day lives,” Phill adds. “This success prompted us to extend the programme across our client base, leading to the creation of a dedicated team to manage the increasing demand.”
Expert-Led Division
The newly established division is led by Rosie Walker, Physical Activity Manager, who brings extensive experience and enthusiasm to the role. Rosie is passionate about the potential of physical activity to improve lives and is excited about the enhanced support this new division offers.
“Care2Care is already highly regarded locally for delivering comprehensive care services,” Rosie explains. “Expanding our team to include a dedicated physical activity department is a fantastic step forward. It allows us to provide even more tailored support, making a significant difference in the lives of those we care for.”

Care2Care now stands out as the only domiciliary care provider in West Yorkshire offering this type of personalised physical activity support. These programmes are designed to be flexible, catering to each client’s specific needs and goals, with input from healthcare professionals to ensure safety and effectiveness.
