Ribble, the UK’s leading titanium bike manufacturer known for its rich heritage in hand-built bikes and innovative British design, has proudly unveiled the Allroad Ti titanium bike. This groundbreaking model merges state-of-the-art 3D printing technology with traditional construction methods, positioning the Allroad Ti as a pioneering advancement in titanium bicycles.
A Unique Blend of Strength and Endurance
The Allroad Ti is meticulously crafted to enhance the distinctive ride qualities of titanium—strength, durability, and resilience. The bike features an endurance-focused geometry designed for all-day comfort on various road surfaces, making it an ideal choice for long rides. Whether navigating city streets, country lanes, or rugged trails, the Allroad Ti promises a smooth and enjoyable ride.
Constructed from corrosion-resistant 3AL-2.5V titanium, the head tube and seat tube clusters are formed using additive manufacturing (3D printing), resulting in unique profiles that are optimised for aerodynamic efficiency. This innovative approach not only enhances performance but also contributes to the bike’s striking aesthetics.
Enhanced Performance Features
An oversized threaded T47 bottom bracket increases the bike’s stiffness and improves power transfer, ensuring that every pedal stroke translates into speed and acceleration. Additionally, the D-shaped carbon seat post offers flex for additional comfort, complete with an integrated seat clamp for a clean finish. The carbon UB-2 handlebars come equipped with direct lever mounts and wake generators, seamlessly combining aerodynamics and ergonomics to elevate the overall performance of the bike.
With increased tyre clearance of up to 35mm, the Allroad Ti provides versatility across diverse riding surfaces. Whether it’s gravel, tarmac, or uneven terrain, this bike is equipped to handle it all. Concealed mudguard mounts allow for year-round riding capabilities, making it a practical choice for cyclists in all weather conditions.
Aesthetics Meets Functionality
The additive manufacturing process enables full internal cable routing, ensuring clean lines that highlight the brushed, hand-finished titanium frame. Each frame is individually crafted, showcasing subtle traces of the maker’s mark, which adds a personal touch to each bike.
Design elements include a modern, sleek form, smooth hand-polished welds, and seamless integration of features alongside laser-etched logos and a debossed head badge, generated during the additive manufacturing process. The wider profile carbon fork, finished in metallic black gloss, complements the brushed metal logos and enhances the overall aesthetic, making the Allroad Ti not just a bike, but a statement piece.
Pushing the Boundaries of Design
Jamie Burrow, Head of Product at Ribble, stated, “The Allroad Ti project has allowed us to push the boundaries of what is achievable with titanium, moving beyond basic round tube profiles.” He stated, “Thanks to the additive manufacturing process, we have been able to integrate aerodynamic features from our Ultra range into this bike, resulting in a high-performance titanium road bike with distinct ride characteristics.” The Allroad Ti has undergone extensive testing, spanning thousands of miles and multiple iterations, to refine its design, ride, and performance.
